Who are people rooting for this year?
The Colts right?
We are all rooting for the Colts, correct?

Message to July August September October November from RiboNuff
I want to spend some more time with you, before I die.
Not as in a man-woman relationship - but rather as a further training exercise - possibly for both of us.
I don't know your world.
You may not know my world well.
We could still learn some tricks - and "earn" some tools of the trade - from each other.
Peace and prosperity. :-)

Fictional email to a friend, 20100104
Hi friend, thanks for the nice e-mail that made me feel like a desirable sort of person. The things you wrote were very nice and gave me some comfort and smiles.
Just this past night, I was up from 2330 on, puking. I had quite a strong migraine headache. I last threw up at 0300, but now I feel just kind of weak and shaken. Nevertheless, once these kids are awake and off to school, I plan to start my huge housecleaning of Monday mornings (housecleaning was mostly ignored while the family was on holidays) - I just have several Mondays to catch up with, is all. :-) I am definitely on the mend already. However, I had some [rare] lunch plans that I will now cancel. I ran into our former piano teacher (the one that was hot for me) yesterday at the hair cutting place and we decided to have lunch today. My spouse wasn't that comfortable with it when I told him about it, so I suppose it's better I don't go. I told my spouse it's been 5 years since we saw that man and his family, so I thought it would be okay, and he seemed to relax. Well, whatever. "It's only lunch."
K1 and K3 and I got hair cuts yesterday. K2 got a #2 in December, so doesn't need one yet. He still apparently wants hair to be peeking out from his beanie - funny. K3 looks adorable with a chin-length cut that she chose. I was glad she got rid of her often-messy, hard to maintain, past-shoulder-length hair. K1 does a good job maintaining her hair, so she can pretty much have it however she wants. She has somewhat long hair and got 2-3 inches taken off yesterday, to look neater and well-groomed. BTW, my spouse is wearing his hair close to his scalp, and I really like that Bad-A look on him.
You might be right about the FB mostly being a chick thing, but there are definitely some of my spouse's guy relatives who comment quite a bit on Facebook. I enjoy their comments and they seem normal and "masculine". (They are deer hunters after all - ha ha!) Some of them write about how blessed they are, and about how blessed their day has been, and what they've done to help other people lately. That written, they don't come across as overly religious either, and I'd never know they feel that way at the family reunions. Interesting. Facebook has been a positive thing for me, except that it can be a time suck. I get bored being on it before I can waste too much time there, though, usually.
I'm glad you can have a big freezer in your basement. That must be nice for you all. Out here we generally don't have basements unless they are specially constructed. I miss that about the east coast and the midwest. I love the finished-out family room basements that I've spent so much time in.
I wrote to my mother yesterday and sent her some photos. She ought to enjoy that. I think I may go out to visit her in February. My spouse's mom is coming in late January to see K3 in her play, and My spouse's favorite uncle (who is only 8 years older than him) is coming out for 2 days (work) this week. I will be glad to see him, and, better yet, I don't have to worry about what the house looks like, because he is a very kind man and I think would never judge me on how caught-up with my housework I was ...
I'm glad you had a good trip to see your spouse's mom and got a great meal out. My spouse and I went out to eat on Saturday night ourselves - Thai food, yum. We have so much good Asian food out here.
I didn't go to the Southwest YMCA today, but tomorrow ought to be a big day there for me, and then I volunteer at the library immediately after. I will enjoy those activities, and will feel strong and healthy, I'm sure.
Well, the kids are getting up now, so I'm off and running. I hope your day is good and "blessed". :-) Love you!!! Ribonuff

Congratulations to Tim Lincecum on his Cy Young
Congratulations to Tim Lincecum on his Cy Young.
That's a pretty awesome achievement!
However, I just don't seem to care as much as I did, last year.
It's not because he smoked pot or had pot.
It's not because he looks scary like Severus Snape.
It's because he's probably having plenty of fun enjoying his life and working hard, and doesn't really *Need* additional sympathies from me; I've got some other interests more in the forefront now.
But still - Yay, Tim Lincecum! I hope you get the salary you are dreaming of. :-)

Oldie posted October 5, 2008
Communication to my boss
Title: Federal Governmal, or Govern-Malathion, or Federal Govern via Malathion or Similar (FG-MoS)
"Federal Governmal", as I define it, is the bad or improper governing of the People by the agencies that are Supposed To Be Watching and Protecting the Masses.
No Wait - Let's rename it "Govern-Malathion". Government by Malathion against the people - or by whatever current neurotoxic agent they are now spraying on our agriculture and our non-agricultural plants.
I very humbly and respectfully ask for a minute - [an hour?!] - of your time - on Monday morning?
No weapons - no threats - soft words - respect - humility - remorse. (At least, that's what I'll bring to the table.)
You were absolutely spot-on about quite a few things, that I was too ignorant and green to see. I still want to, and must, thank you for the advanced training in partly-unseen threats against my life on the mean streets.
Even if we never speak again, I just wanted to try to make amends for, or at least apologize for, like 95% of my asshole behavior during the month of September 2008.
At Saturday night at around 9:30, while in the shower, I had something like a "cleansing moment" and a lightning-flash realization, and I next came to believe that throughout September 2008, I have been repeatedly dosed with PCP, acid, or maybe something like parathion (neorotoxic anti-agricultural agent used by local Santa Cruz-area federales and agricultural attached agencies against the growth and productivity of 420 and weeds). I got this way Only by repeated hiking through the hills and redwoods near Santa Cruz!!!
I like to stomp up and down the hills for fitness training - should I Really have to pay for that desire, through my getting an acquired neurological disorder? I think not!!! I think someone, or some agency, should be made to pay for my time and inconvenience and health bills, and said government agency or agricultural agency should be made to stop spraying weeds with toxic chemicals. On all levels: How do these anti-weed chemicals leach into our drinking water - the same water that we are pretty sure that cows haven't urinated into, because it's up a burly, densely tree-populated slope? These slopes are Not out of simple range of helicopters and agricultural Cessnas.
I would respectfully ask you to consider a 9:00 a..m. business meeting, for 1 minute to 1 hour (?) of your time, and perhaps the time of a few of your most-trusted associates who haven't hosed you yet and who think may work well on your team. I believe I May be on to something F-ing huge here.
If you never speak to me again, I want to give you and your boys a potentially massively huge class-action suit against the Federal government. You could possibly take this one all the way to the Supreme Court, if you guys wanted your Kato Kaelin 15 minutes of fame - or you could stop at the city or state level, after you got your 15 acres of redwooded hillside awarded to you by the local government agency with the deepest pockets ...
... to pay you for the decrease in your health through the repeated exposure to neurotoxins by having to camp among parathion-sprayed weeds (and the smoking of parathion-drenched
Weed?! That's a whole 'nuther story!) That's one about the domicile-unencumbered individuals.
Too bad the government has no money, and almost never pays ... You might all get your 15 minutes of fame and a comfortable living out of it, still ...
Maybe you guys would rather keep me out of it - and maybe that's the way you want to go - so you could meet at the law library sometime, independent of me, and start mapping out your legal strategies. You have a fine mind, drive and determination, and Can of course easily do that. But I also have a fine mind, and a Very Different skill set than the one you possess - though I have to admit I have lesser interest in this matter than you guys might, and I just really wanted to throw a potentially big bone your way, out of respect for who you and your friends are, and how you live your lives.
I'd like to think I would have been even More respectful to you, and humble and kind-hearted towards you, had I not been dosed repeatedly with some form of neurotoxin or some party chemical that I didn't know about. I Think I know the source, in my case, and I wish to F that I could have heard what you were trying to tell me (your warning) at the time ... but I didn't ... oh well, F me.
Trust and respect, and have the best F-ing life ever. I wish you much health and contentment.

Autumn
So autumn is almost here. It's my favorite season. It reminds me of football, especially college football. I always loved watching the Mountaineers on those Saturdays, when my friends and I would forgo studying and just be football fans for a day.
What sort of memories does the change in season elicit in you?
What's this blog all about? See the first post.
